The following information was sent out by Rural Development on July 19, 2023:

On July 19, 2023, the Agency published a Notice correction for a previously published Notice dated April 28, 2023, titled Loan Guarantees Under the Section 538 Guaranteed Rural Rental Housing Program.

In the correction notice, the Agency is providing guidance and clarification on the following:

• Applicant registration in System for Award Management (SAM) and obtaining a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI).
• The Agency’s use of the Do Not Pay Portal to screen lenders as part of the eligibility determination process.
• Requirement for the lender to provide a list of principals to the Agency as part of the complete application package.
• Clarification of the documentation the lender must submit to the Agency to verify they have determined the borrower and borrower’s management agent eligibility.

The Agency strongly recommends interested and affected parties to file the April 28, 2023, and the July 19, 2023, notices together to ensure the information in both notices are easily accessible.
