HUD: Multifamily Posts Draft Notice to Close the Qualified Contract Loophole in the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program Housing

On August 15, 2024, HUD’s Office of Multifamily Housing Programs sent out the following information:

Today, the Office of Multifamily Housing Programs is seeking feedback on the Multifamily Drafting Table from stakeholders regarding new guidance that would require applicants for  Federal Housing Administration (FHA) Multifamily rental and Risk Share transactions to waive their qualified contract option for Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) pursuant to 26 U.S. Code § 42.

The deadline for responses is Friday, September 20, 2024.
