CARH’s Broadcast Email—Regulatory Alert
With the eviction moratorium set to expire on July 31, the Biden Administration has reached out to stakeholders to remind owners and residents that funding from the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) is available to help minimize the impact that the end of the moratorium may have.
The White House recently issued the following “call to action” and ask that we share with our members:
“As you may know, the CDC’s eviction moratorium will end on July 31, and we are doing all that we can to make sure tenants and landlords take advantage of the billions of dollars in historic funding for emergency rental assistance to help cover rent, utilities, and other housing costs and keep people in their homes. We are putting out a call to action to YOU to help make sure that renters and landlords are able to take advantage of the relief available to them. On July 28th, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) will debut a new look up tool that allows renters and landlords to find information on rental assistance in their area.”
