Jacob “Jake” Stern

Jacob Stern (Jake) is a Senior Vice President on the Business Development Team at Cinnaire, a multi-regional CDFI that specializes in LIHTC equity syndication and multifamily lending for affordable housing. Jake joined Cinnaire in 2019 and is responsible for LIHTC equity and multifamily debt originations throughout the Mid-Atlantic region within Cinnaire’s footprint including Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Jake is responsible for sourcing, structuring and supporting closing efforts for all transactions within the Mid-Atlantic while maintaining relationships with Cinnaire’s existing and new development partners.

Jake has worked in the Community Development Finance field for over 12 years and on multiple project types within multiple geographies. Prior to Cinnaire, Jake was the Senior Vice President of Economic Development at SomerCor, a Chicago-based SBA lending institution that provides real estate loans to small businesses and administers multiple economic development grant programs on behalf of the City of Chicago’s Department of Planning and Development. Jake received a BA from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, a Masters in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois – Chicago, and a MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
